NATURAL FINISHES

If you have already seen a finish you like on our page, you can mention it or attach a photo to your order to use as a reference.

Rusted and Waxed:

Natural steel appearance that reflects vibrant colors. Among them, earthy tones stand out, especially orange-brown. At its most rusted appearance and near light, many colors can be observed. It is a random result, with a rough texture and a naturally beautiful appearance. After rusting, we go over the result with layers of wax to slow down the progress of oxidation. It is easy to maintain.

Clean Metal:

Steel's natural color can be a color if you appreciate its natural look. Steel has a surface layer of carbon that makes it appear grayish-black (matte), and in direct light, it looks silvery. When there is light, it shines and reflects the colors around it.

In a clean metal finish without any
protection, the metal will follow its natural course and rust. Once rust covers most of the surface, many earthy colors will appear, leaning towards copper, orange, brown, and purple tones.

If you do not prefer to let the steel's natural appearance continue, it should be protected superficially by applying an anti-corrosive or retarding method. This can be wax (the same used on leather), beeswax, petroleum jelly, or anti-corrosive/electrostatic paint/lacquer. In the best-case scenario, electrostatic paint is an optimal choice to prevent the metal from rusting and to maintain the chosen color for longer.

POLISHED:

Textured and polished shiny metal has an aluminum-like appearance. Polished metal should always be considered for some type of maintenance to prevent rust. In an environment without much salinity, with some type of protection and located indoors, its appearance could last longer.

This finish is not the same as stainless steel, as the corrosive nature of steel will always show through. We use it exceptionally in very specific jobs.
Natural maintenance of polished metal can be done by sanding the area where there is a visible rust outbreak with metal sandpaper. Accompanying its natural aging process is worthy of admiration.

COMBINATIONS:

Our recommendation for achieving the best possible result in the appearance of a project is to combine finishes to create a result that stands out for its volumes and contrasts. By mixing finishes, we can create greater contrast without compromising the natural look of the steel.
We prefer the natural finish of steel and do not perform painted works, unless it is part of the offered service.

If you plan to apply anti-corrosive paint to the metal finish yourself, we recommend ordering your product with a "Clean Metal" finish. There are maximum protection options for metal available at major hardware stores, which sell aerosol primers and anti-corrosive paints (e.g., RUST OLEUM paints) that are easy to apply. There is a variety of colors and textures to choose from to best suit your project.
